CMN Requirements for MISS Contestants The Miss America Organization has partnered with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN) to raise funds and awareness for children's hospitals throughout the United States. On a local level, each miss contestant is required to raise $100 for CMN and the Miss America Scholarship Fund. This is not an entrance fee, but rather a service requirement to participate in the Miss America sponsored pageants at the local, state, and national levels. “Miss America” is the Goodwill Ambassador to CMN. You can set up your own individual fund raising page through the CMN Portal by going to www.MissAmerica4kids.org To start, Click on “New Contestants Click Here” and follow the instructions. You must register for the 2015 Miss Crawford County Scholarship Pageant. It is 2015 because that is the year you would compete for Miss America if you win Miss Pennsylvania 2014. You may download your photo if you wish. (There will be directions that will explain how to make your donation. You may acquire sponsors for your donation. They may use this as a tax deduction. Check the “Frequently Asked Questions” section for more information. You may roll over your CMN funds to the next local pageant in the same pageant year, if you raise more than the $100. More roll over rules apply with extra money to transfer to the state after you win your local title. There is a donation form for those writing checks for CMN to make sure you receive credit for that particular donation. MCC pageant is giving dual titles in the same pageant; therefore $100 is due. It is per pageant, not per title. If you raise $400, you are eligible to compete in ALL locals for the current pageant year. STATE: Miss Pennsylvania contestant raises $250; NATIONAL: Miss America contestant raises at least $500. At Miss Pennsylvania (State Level), the Miss America Organization awards the Miracle Maker Scholarship Award to the Miss Pennsylvania contestant who raises the most money for CMN. The 2013 award was a $1,000 Scholarship. Also there is a Miss America Scholastic Achievement Award of $1,000 - both chosen by the Miss America Organization.
