January 2014 School’s Report
Update on Staffing:
Lindsay Adair has been hired full time until the end of January.
We will be interviewing for Linda Fraser’s grade 1 position after Jan. 20th.
Budget Decisions:
Staff is continuing to purchase resources and materials needed for their programs.
Working On:
Supporting RTI (Response to Intervention) in our school – academic focus
1. January 30th PD will be used for RTI collaboration for staff.
2. We now have an RTI leadership team that will be meeting on a regular basis to plan and assist with the delivery
of RTI in our school. This team is looking at many options to implement for next year.
Assistive Technologies:
1. Google Apps PD is planned for Jan. 31, 2014.
2. Chrome books will be available for staff to sign out after the Jan. 31st PD.
3. Teacher laptops and docking stations have been installed for all the teaching staff.
Faith Formation:
1. Continued work with Father Nilo, Deacon Leo and the parish.
2. Father Nilo comes each week to have mass with a grade in our chapel. He also comes in once a month to work
with each junior high class.
3. We are initiating quarterly meetings with Father Nilo and the Admin staff to plan together future direction with
Father Nilo and Deacon Leo.
