Ironwood Dermatology Jill Maddox, FNP-BC Todd Rozycki, MD April Scott, FNP-BC An NP (Nurse Practitioner) provides high-quality, cost-effective and individualized care for patients, families and communities. NPs are authorized to practice across the nation, diagnose and develop patient treatment plans and have privileges to prescribe medications. Dermatology Nurse Practitioners are board certified and can perform an invaluable role in Dermatology and optimize physician efficiency. The well-trained Nurse Practitioner is a highly effective adjunct to patient evaluation and management, patient education and is capable of performing routine Dermatologic procedures. When successfully integrated into a Dermatologic practice, the Nurse Practitioner enhances patient care and satisfaction and permits the physician to focus on more complex medical decision-making, technically advanced procedures and surgeries. Dr. Rozycki has experience working alongside NPs during his Dermatology residency at Mayo Clinic, and has realized the complementary role that NPs provide to the specialist physician. He has successfully practiced with NPs for over 5 years, and continues to build and improve an integrated team approach to providing high-quality Dermatologic health care. Dr Rozycki’s goal in adding Nurse Practitioners to his team is to reduce waiting times for his patients, improve access and allow him to focus on more complex medical and surgical cases. Jill Maddox and April Scott are both Dermatology Nurse practitioners who are highly trained and have completed a postgraduate internship with Dr. Rozycki and are able to meet these needs. Extensive clinical training alongside the physician, in combination with rigorous academic study has prepared our NPs to practice with Dr. Rozycki. This is in addition to the NPs graduate level education and board certification. Their training includes skin cancer detection and screening, diagnosis and management of chronic inflammatory dermatoses, and treatment of many common dermatologic ailments. Additionally, Dr. Rozycki’s team works closely together to develop and maintain the best treatment plan for each patient. Dr. Rozycki and his NPs discuss cases daily, review up to date Dermatology literature weekly, and analyze where physician input is needed. Your trust and confidence in our team is of utmost importance to us and we appreciate you as our patient.
