7th Grade Ticket System
Dear Parents or Guardians,
In order to keep students motivated each six weeks, 7th grade has created a ticket system to keep
kids focused! We believe this system will train students to be accountable for their own
responsibilities and better prepare them for the 8th grade.
Throughout the 7th grade year, students are expected to understand all rules and guidelines. The
ticket system has been created to help students abide by these guidelines. At the end of each
nine weeks, students will be rewarded for keeping up with their tickets! Teachers will post how
many tickets are needed to be eligible for the nine weeks reward. Gradually, the eligibility for
rewards becomes more challenging as we come closer to the end of the year.
At the beginning of each nine weeks, each student will be given a colored sheet of paper to staple
in his or her agenda with 30 tickets. If for any reason a student forgets supplies, needs to go to
their locker, use the restroom, comes to class late, etc., the student may lose a ticket. The
teacher circles their subject on the colored piece of paper, initials it, and writes the reason.
Students will lose tickets for inappropriate behavior in the halls or classroom. If a student looses
all their tickets, they will then be subject to detentions, parent phone calls, and office referrals.
Tickets are not valid unless they are attached to their agenda.
Gradually, rewards will require more tickets. If a student has used more than the required
amount or been assigned to ISSC for any amount of time that nine weeks, he/she will forfeit
eligibility for rewards that nine weeks.
Checking the ticket sheet each night will help you keep track of your child’s behavior.
