CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST TO WORK WITH DFID SOUTHERN AFRICA DFID, as part of the UK Government, leads the UK’s work to end extreme poverty. DFID provides support for the delivery of a range of programme services and implementation of development activities in Southern Africa and beyond. Most of the provided support is managed through DFID partners and suppliers/service providers. DFID would like to expand on the number of partners and suppliers/service providers it works with who are based in Southern Africa. The primary sectors that DFID Southern Africa currently supports include the following; Wealth Creation - programmes are focused on supporting regional economic integration, growth and poverty reduction. MDG - This programme mainly focuses on two aspects: Health and Governance Climate Change - help developing countries carry out the urgent work needed to adapt to climate change and develop in a low carbon way. Global Development Partnership Programme - To create space for public debate on South Africa’s development role on the continent to inform emerging policy. We would like to invite suppliers/service providers/partners not currently working with DFID Southern Africa and who are interested working with DFID to deliver programmes in South Africa, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe and have the right skills to submit an expression of interest to register for inclusion on our regional supplier database. The types of services we typically require include programme appraisal and design, programme and project management, technical assistance, audit, financial management (including grant/fund management), monitoring and evaluation, research work, conducting surveys and policy support.
