Dear 4-H & FFA State Fair Exhibitors, The Nebraska State Fair is just around the corner! You are receiving this email because you have made official 4-H and/or FFA Livestock entries for the Fair. After reviewing entries we want to remind everyone of each organizations entry limits. Exhibitors cannot bring more than the limits stated below. Also, just a friendly reminder that entries made online are for animals not stall space. Once all animals are in place at the State Fair, empty stalls/pens will be re-allocated as needed. 4-H Number of Entries: Beef - 3 beef animals if at least one is a breeding heifer. Only two market beef may be exhibited. The following combinations of beef exhibits are acceptable: 1. One, two, or three breeding heifers 2. One breeding heifer and two market beef (market beef may be two market steers or two market heifers or one steer and one heifer) 3. Two breeding heifers and one market beef 4. Two market beef (may be two steers, two heifers, or one steer and one heifer) In no case will a 4-H member exhibit more than two market beef Dairy – refer to Department 35 – Youth Dairy Show Meat Goat – 4 goats maximum, if at least one is a breeding doe. In no case will a 4-H member exhibit more than three market goats Poultry – unlimited entries, (2015 only) Rabbit – A member is limited to housing for 5 rabbits. If the exhibitor would like to use a rabbit specifically for showmanship, the rabbit must be housed elsewhere until the day of the show Sheep – 4 sheep maximum, if at least one is a breeding ewe. In no case will a 4-H member exhibit more than three market lambs Swine – 3 market hogs FFA Number of Entries: Each eligible FFA exhibitor will be permitted to show a maximum of: Beef - 6 animals total but no more than 2 market animals, 4 breeding animals and 4 feeder calves Dairy animals (refer to Department 35 - Youth Dairy Show) Market Swine – 4, Breeding Gilts - 2 Market Lambs – 3, Breeding Sheep - 4 Market Goats – 3, Breeding Goats - 4 Sincerely, Ryan Hassebrook, FFA Superintendent Brandy Wagner, 4-H Livestock Superintendent
