Justification for course change. ENV 230: The justification is that ENV 115 (Climate Change) provides a foundation in climate science that will be built upon in subsequent classes in the curriculum including ENV 230 which is a pre-requisite for ENV 326 etc. Climate change is the preeminent environmental challenge of our time. ENV 490C: This is an omission correction; we never changed the name of the ENV 490C when the Environmental Studies students were required to take this class. 8. ENV 230 is an elective in the Civil Engineering B.S.E. and the Conservation Biology Certificate and the proposed prerequisite might make the course prohibitive for some students. Please let me know if you require any related plan changes as a result of this proposed curricular change.
