Aims and objectives
Aims and objectives of the organizers are to arrange a
workshop/conference to focus local, national and
international attention on the “Use of GIS for Natural
Resources Conservation, Environmental Protection and
Disaster Management”. Major theme of the event is to
understand, propagate and use GIS for Natural Resource
Conservation, Environmental Protection and Disaster
Management. GIS can also help in minimizing the harmful
impact and severity of rapid population growth,
industrialization and uncertainties caused by climate
change, conflicts and natural disasters. The experts will
also elaborate the beneficial uses of GIS for natural
resource (land and water) conservation. Secondly, the
workshop/conference also aims to spotlight and
encourage governments, organizations, communities, and
individuals to actively engage in addressing the
mentioned issues with the help of software based
programs.
