MINUTES OF CANORA TOWN COUNCIL MEETING May 19, 2015 A regular meeting of Canora Town Council was held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Canora Town Council Chambers. In attendance were Mayor Gina Rakochy, Councillors Matthew Nehaj, James Trofimenkoff and Syl Hrynkiw. Also in attendance was Chief Administrative Officer Michael Mykytyshyn. Councillors Brad Gabora and Cory O’Dell were absent. Carried Councillor Cory O’Dell joined the meeting at 7:07 p.m. 15-113 O’Dell Hrynkiw PARKLAND VALLEY AGM That council authorize Leisure Services Director Chelsey Exner to attend the Parkland Valley Sport, Culture and Recreation annual general meeting to be held June 10 in Yorkton, Sask., expenses to be reimbursed by the Town. Carried 15-114 LIFEGUARDING COURSE RATES Nehaj That the 2015 rates for Canadian Red Cross lifeguarding courses at Trofimenkoff Canora Swimming Pool be set at $200 plus the cost of books and that recertification courses be $80 plus the cost of books. Carried Councillor Matthew Nehaj declared a conflict of interest and left the meeting at 7:37 p.m. He rejoined the meeting at 7:51 p.m. 15-115 Nehaj O’Dell FUNDRAISING WORKSHOP That council authorize Leisure Services Director Chelsey Exner to attend the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association fundraising workshop to be held June 3 in Regina, Sask., expenses to be reimbursed by the Town. Carried 15-116 AMEND ZONING BYLAW Trofimenkoff That council amend the definition of “building” in the zoning bylaw to read: Hrynkiw “Any structure constructed or placed on, in or over land, including any non-permanent shed or portable shack, c-storage container, and tarp or fabric-covered structure, but not including a public highway” and authorize ________ Initials ________ Initials the chief administrative officer to give the required public notice and prepare drafts to amend the appropriate bylaw.
