Course 2: Evidence-based Practice

Objective

The student will obtain an understanding of evidence-based nursing practice. This includes an understanding of how different ontological and epistemological positions influence research and design. Furthermore, how it is possible to assess different research articles

Learning outcome

Upon completion of the course the student will be able to: o Describe how different research methodologies influence and frame research o Explain how nursing research is connected to the development of clinical nursing practice o Reflect on ethical aspects concerning development and research projects o Critically assess research articles o Discuss and demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based nursing practice
