Your Requirements My Experience and Qualifications Research skills in a relevant discipline and/or specialist knowledge in one or more of: Australian social history; industrial history; history of photography My qualifications include a Master of Arts (Australian Studies) from Monash University, and I have specialist expertise in Australian social and industrial history. Field work includes recording oral histories for National Library of Australia projects such as ‘Childhood Tradition and Change, ‘Tradition Bearers’ and the ‘Findlay Music Collection’ Experience in conducting and documenting oral history interviews In addition to National Library of Australia projects and individual oral histories, I have recorded and documented 45 whole-of-life oral histories for the National Film & Sound Archive program with nationally prominent individuals from the Australian music, film and television industries Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Each of my roles throughout my career has required exceptional communication and interpersonal skills – from interviewing to event management, radio presentation and station management Experience in writing historical narratives of a high professional standard, especially for online platforms My cultural history work includes historical narratives for on-line publication by relevant institutions.
