Aliaksandr Pakhomau is Head of Sector at Central Research Institute for Complex Use of Water Resources (CRICUWR)
and Visiting Lecturer in Belarusian State University (BSU). He has a degree in System Engineering from Belarusian State
Polytechnic Academy. He supervises thesis writing and research activities
of graduate and post-graduate students; participates in transboundary cooperation in the Baltic Sea region; he is a contact
point for HELCOM (Baltic Marine Protection commission). He has contributed to a number of international projects on
river basin management funded by ENPI, ENVSEC, Central European Initiative, Swedish EPA, UNDP-GEF, International
Office of Water and TACIS programs.
