Beauty & The Beast Cast B Costume Instructions
EVERYONE:
We are asking for you to please bring from home or purchase
specific solid color tops & bottoms to wear under the costumes
for easy changes. Please make sure that there are no sequins,
logos, stripes, etc. of any kind on any of these items. For
colors, see below.
Please mark all items with your child’s name. The costume
moms say that these items can be purchased at The Children’s
Place, Target, Value Drug, Walgreens, etc. inexpensively if you do
not have them, either at the stores or online. We are letting you
know early in the long weekend so that you have time to gather
everything. Also, keep in mind there may be some last minute
changes or additions. Please email us if you cannot find the items
below.
FOOTWEAR: No boots, no white sneakers. Dark shoes for
boys. Black flats for girls. Older children may need additional
footwear for ballroom scene.
Please send the labeled items to rehearsal with your child
as soon as you have them.
THIRD GRADERS:
Monkeys:
 Solid brown leggings or thermals for bottoms, solid brown
long sleeved shirt for top
Birds:
 Solid bright colored leggings or thermals for bottoms,
matching solid long sleeved shirt for top
FOURTH GRADERS:
Birds that become Wild Animals:
 Solid bright colored leggings or thermals for bottoms,
matching solid long sleeved shirt for top
Birds that become Pigs:
 Bright pink colored leggings or thermals for bottoms,
matching solid long sleeved shirt for top
Monkeys that become Bandits:
 Solid brown leggings or thermals for bottoms, solid brown
long sleeved shirt for top
 Brightly colored jacket, sweater, or t-shirt to wear over the
brown for beginning scene as kids
Birds that become Roses:
 Solid pink leggings or thermals for bottoms, solid pink long
sleeved shirt for top, bright pink if you can find it,
otherwise, any shade of pink is fine as long as top matches
with bottom
FIFTH GRADERS:
 SHOES FOR EVERYONE: Dark for boys. Flats for girls.
Can be ballet slippers. If you have a light or bright
costume, footwear can be light. If you have dark clothing,
please wear dark footwear.
 Statues only: white shoes or ballet slippers.
 EVERYONE: please bring a plain, brightly colored t-shirt for
when you are not in your other costume to wear over your
base clothing.
 Head Rose: white tank top/white or pink leggings
 Roses 1, 2, 3, 4: white tank top/white or pink leggings
 Guides:
o Girls: white blouse or top, black or navy skirt. Underneath
this costume you will need a white/or light tank & light
leggings.
o Boys: white dress shirt, dark pants. Plain white t-shirt for
underneath.
 All Knights/Messenger: dark pants, preferably black.
Matching dark, long sleeved shirts, long-sleeved, preferably
black
 Bandits: dark long-sleeved t-shirt, pants, preferably black
 Pierre: white dress shirt, black pants
 Maids & Servants:
o Hawkins: white dress shirt, dark pants
o Chris: bright colored long-sleeved top, leggings
o Polly: bright colored long-sleeved top, leggings
o Pat, Claire, & Sam: brown long sleeved top, brown
bottoms
 Sweetie Bird: bright leggings that matches bright yellow
top
 All Sisters: white/light tank tops, white/light bike shorts
or leggings for underneath costumes
 Beasts: black or brown long-sleeved top & bottoms
 Betrand: white dress shirt, black or dark pants
 All Belles: white/light tank tops, white/light bike shorts or
leggings for underneath costumes
 Witch: black or purple top & bottom
Children that are playing “Parents” will need blazers or jackets
for boys, dresses for girls. These roles are not yet fully secured
but we will let you know as soon as possible.
Several fourth/fifth graders will also need “fancy-ish” dresses
for the ballroom scene. Anything you have at home will be fine.
We will keep you posted on that as well.
