Deadline: Not indicated Contact: EENW Click here for further information Programme: Creative Europe Shared Spaces: a narrative space lab for Europe Lead Partner: The SOAP (SOcial and Artistic Platform) Foundation, The Netherlands Programme: Creative Europe Project Description: The SOAP (SOcial and Artistic Platform) foundation, based in Maastricht (The Netherlands) and its Euregion, is looking for European partners interested in joining a project under the framework of the Creative Europe programme. ‘Shared Spaces’ is a Creative Europe programme project on narrative space which takes the idea of architecture and theatre to the extreme. The project is formed out of intensive cooperation between architecture and theatre students, professionals and schools. The four year programme runs from October 2016 till October 2020 and contains project periods, one week seminar and an international symposium held in the final year. Over the four years, every school participates in three project periods of two weeks, one week seminar and an international symposium held in the final year. The project weeks consists of interdisciplinary workshops, lectures and design studios for students from architecture and theatre schools. Students and experts are challenged to combine their disciplines, bring ideas into practice and to work transdisciplinary on a large public art installation. The seminars will be held at the schools as an introduction on the larger project. All the projects take place in different European cities, during interdisciplinary theatre festivals and design fairs, providing different contexts for students and engaging a wide variety of European public. In the final year the ‘Shared Spaces’ symposium’ will be held. Here, professionals and students from the field of narrative space exchange ideas, knowledge and best practices from the overall program. The output from the project weeks and research on narrative space will be continued on an online open source portal.
