The BMDCGS is hosting a day at Ewe-topia. This is wonderful opportunity to see what
your dog will do when given the opportunity to herd sheep. Each dog will have an
opportunity to earn a “Herding Instinct Certificate” (HIC). This event will be held rain or
shine, so dress accordingly. No sandals are allowed in the livestock pen.
Items to bring:





Ex-pen
Water and bowl for your dog
Chair for yourself
Dress appropriately-for rain, shine, this is a working farm
Potluck item to share. We will have brats so salads, desserts, appetizers will work.

Ewe-topia is located near Fort Lewis, Washington - about an hour and a half south of Seattle.
Directions:







From I-5 north or south, take exit 127 (Highway 512 - Puyallup/Mt. Rainier)
Go 2 miles east to the second exit (Highway 7 - Spanaway/Parkland) - turn right
Go 4.6 miles south; where the main road turns to the left, take the exit to the right
(Highway 507 - Roy/Centralia)
Go 7.4 miles southwest to the small town of Roy
Drive all the way through the town, past the Union 76 station, & take a left onto
S. 288th
Where the road seems to fork, stay to the left
Ewe-topia is 1.4 miles down 288th - go all the way up the gravel driveway
through the gate at the back
 PLEASE DRIVE UNDER 10 MPH once you turn off 288th Street
Registration and Lunch
Each run through is $20 per dog. There is no additional charge for the Herding Instinct
Certificate (HIC). Lunch donations for the brats would be appreciated.
