Remote COMPASS Placement
For students living some distance away from campus
If you have submitted your Delta College Application of Admissions and currently live some distance away from
campus (for example: another part of the state or another state), we can help you complete COMPASS Placement
for Delta College through a COMPASS remote test site near your current location.
To use our Remote COMPASS Services, call Delta College Testing Center at (989) 686-9182. Indicate you would like
to take Delta’s COMPASS Placement at a location closer to your present location. We will help you make the
necessary arrangements in a short phone call (generally 5-10 minutes).
Staff will check for COMPASS Remote Testing locations in your area based on the zip code you provide; indicating
how close you are to a site and what the site will charge you for administering the test. Fees range from $25 to
$65, depending on the test site. You will decide which site you prefer to use.

To schedule a remote session, the following information is needed:
a. Name
b. Address
c. Delta College Student ID Number
d. Zip code of your current location
e. Email address

An email will be generated immediately containing your COMPASS remote testing registration number
and specific information about your next steps for completing your COMPASS Placement at the remote
site. Take the email message with your COMPASS Registration Number to the remote test site and
present it to the testing staff. Follow email instructions carefully.

At the end of COMPASS Placement, the system will generate a score report for you.

Be sure to inform Delta College Testing Center that you have completed COMPASS Placement so that your
scores can be loaded into your Delta College Student File.
