Blase, I would like confirm the Liberal Studies Committee would like to remove the Liberal Studies designation from the
following courses at the end of the spring 2012 semester. I would like to add these to the 3/27/12 UCC meeting.

Hi Karen:
I have been asked to clarify a number of the courses found on the analysis of Liberal Studies courses taught list. To
make it consistent, I will go in order of the graphs as they were found on pages 2 and 3 of this document.
Courses to be placed on “inactive” list
ARH 269 will be offered F, 2012
ENG 252 can be removed from Liberal Studies
REL 322 will be offered F, 2012 (we haven’t been able to offer it since Arne Hassing’s retirement but will be able to again
next fall)
HIS 388 will be offered either F, 2012 or S, 2013
LAT 101 can stay on inactive
PHI 356 will be taught S, 2013
RUS 201—MODL has asked for it not to be removed yet—that would be the same with all of the Russian courses.
HIS 340 will be offered either F, 2012 or S, 2013
HIS 343—same as 340
HIS 385 will be deleted as an offering
REL 206 is scheduled for F, 2012
Courses ON “inactive” list
HUM 351 will be offered F, 12
REL 325 will be offered F,12
HIS 372 is in the process of being updated so it can be taught in the next academic year
ALL LAT can be moved to inactive but MODL requests that they not be removed as of yet
HIS 270 has been deleted through curriculum process
HIS 373 is in the process of being updated so it can be taught in the next academic year
