would like to wish everyone a Happy New
Year. I would like to welcome Daniel
Sheahan to the staff and wish him all
the best in his time with us. Daniel is
replacing Yvonne O’Flaherty who is on
maternity leave and we wish her all the
best.

After School Activities:
The schedule for after school activities
for this term is attached. Many thanks
to all teachers who give of their time to
organise such activities.
CHRISTMAS PARTY
Please ensure that all pupils are
collected on time from any after-school
activities. If your child is late being
collected on 3 occasions they will have
to give up that particular activity.
Many thanks to the Parents’ Association
for their organisation of the Christmas
Party in the hall, Santa’s visit to the
school and the trip to K-Bowl for the
senior classes. A great day was had by
all.
CHOIR
The school choir is busy preparing for
the Peace Proms Concert which will be
held in the R.D.S. on Sunday February
7th at 8.00.pm. Tickets ordered through
the school will be ready for collection by
the end of the week. There are still
tickets available and can be purchased
online at www.peaceproms.com
SPORT
Basketball:
Both boys’ and girls’ senior basketball
teams are unbeaten in the league and
have now qualified for the semi-finals.
They will play Kilashee in both boys and
girls semi-finals. The semi-finals are
over two games. The first games are on
in Kilashee on Monday February 1st at
1.45 p.m. and 2.15 p.m. The second

make their own way into the classroom
as there is no need for parents to
accompany them.
SCHOOL EXTENSION UPDATE
Kildare County Council have requested
further information regarding the
planning application for the 2 classroom
and General Purposes Hall. The Board
of Management of the school are at
present
working
on
this
extra
information requested.
PE AND DRAMA MONEY
Final payments for PE and Drama are
due. Please pay by the 30th of January.
