1. Staff Changes- Please let us know of any changes / retirements in your school or school
division. Also please look at the back part of the handbook- the Yellow Pages, and let us know if
there are changes there, including addresses, website, admin etc.
Please get that info to Jo-Ann at Jo-Ann@mhsaa.ca.
2. Annual General Meeting- if you have not gotten in your registrations, please do so
immediately as the deadline has passed. We have to give the hotel final numbers in the next

3. BEACH Volleyball. All schools should be aware that the recent Beach Volleyball tournament
was not sanctioned by the MHSAA, and we are not affiliated with that event in any way. That is
a community organization event, and as such has their own rules and regulations.
4. 2014 WESMEN SUMMER SPORT CAMPS..REGISTER NOW
The University of Winnipeg has over 40 years of experience in offering basketball and volleyball
summer camps. These camps have always featured excellent instruction by the Wesmen
coaching staff, top high school coaches and elite Wesmen student-athletes. As the Wesmen
Varsity Sports Programs have expanded, so has our Sport Camps programs. Our summer camp
offerings now include BASKETBALL, VOLLEYBALL, SOCCER, BASEBALL,WRESTLING and
MULTI-SPORT. Camps are offered during the months of July and August in all sports for boys
and girls in grades 1-12. Online registration and more information is available at:

5. MHSAA BOARD OF DIRECTORS- Are you interested in being a Board member? Are you
interested in being “one of them”? Now is your chance. Contact Morris at morris@mhsaa.ca
for more information. There are positions open for Urban admin rep, rural rep, and ladies PE
rep. Get involved!!
6. Website evaluation - We will be looking at the MHSAA website and try to make some
improvements over the summer. If you have some suggestions, or ideas, please e-mail Greg at
Greg@hsaa.ca
7. The Hampton Inn at 735 Berry St is offering a special rate for coaches and teachers. It is 30%
off the best available rate from Fridays to Sundays and expires Dec 30, 2014. We will be emailing the coupon out to schools, however some divisions do not open attachments, so if you
would like a coupon, please contact us and we will fax or e-mail to you. The Hampton is a new
property which offers a deluxe breakfast buffet, has a warm salt water pool and a fitness center
and is located 10 minutes away from Polo Park.
