Student Manager Award- Nominate your student manager for a $750.00 scholarship. There are positions open for Urban admin rep, rural rep, and ladies PE rep. Get involved!! 7. Hoop It Up 3on3 Basketball Tournament -June 28-29 at Garden City Shopping Centre. The world's largest 3on3 basketball tournament is returning to Winnipeg on June 28-29 at the Garden City Shopping Centre.. The 25th Anniversary Season of Hoop It Up is coming to nine cities across North America in the summer of 2014 and Winnipeg is the only Canadian stop on the tour. The Winnipeg stop Is open to males and females ages 8 and up and is a FIBA 3x3 Certified Event that is recognized by Canada Basketball. A new addition to the event will also see a wheelchair basketball division for ages 14 and up. The event will also use the new FIBA 3x3 Planet online interface which includes the new 3x3 World Player Ranking system. Cost to register a team of four is $160 or $220 for the men's Top Gun division with those winners off to Toronto for a World Tour Qualifying Tournament. The Manitoba Volleyball Officials Association (MVOA) will be conducting Level 1 Volleyball clinics in September in Winnipeg and Brandon. The clinics are set as follows: September 6, 2014 in Winnipeg from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm with registration at 8:30 am. Location TBA. Team Canada Women's Volleyball, along with Dakota Collegiate / Louis Riel School Division, Volleyball Manitoba and Coaching Manitoba are hosting their Second Annual Volleyball Coaching Clinic this September 12, 2014 at Dakota Collegiate. Seminar Topics would vary from on-court technical and tactical, ranging from Learning to Train (basic grades 7-9) to Training to Train (advanced grades 10-12) levels, and off-court topics such as strength & conditioning for the developing athlete. Confirmed presenters include Arnd Ludwig and Scott Koskie (Women's National Team Head and Assistant Coaches), Ben Josephson (Trinity Western Men’s Head Coach, back-to-back national titles, in 2011 and 2012, a national silver medal, in 2010, and a Canada West championship- 2012), Ken Bentley (Head Coach of the 2013-2014 CIS National Women’s Champion, University of Manitoba Bisons), Diane Scott (University of Winnipeg Women's Head Coach) and Lee Carter (Brandon University Women's Coach) and more!
