Individual team member ranking will be determined on 2013 Sinclair score derived from the 2013 AWF National Rankings as of 31 December, 2013. In the case of Masters, team member ranking will be determined using 2013 SMM scores The AWF will ensure that lifters will be grouped according to their entry totals. This will mean that team members may lift at different times in set groups, to be determined by AWF in conjunction with QWA, of no more than 15 lifters in any one group. Each club can nominate a maximum of four (4) reserves comprised of 2 males and 2 females who are eligible to lift for the respective `A’ team contesting the four categories (Jun Male, Jun Female, Sen Male, Sen Female). Final `A’ teams must be named at the verification of entries to be submitted via emails mkeelan@awf.com.au and qwa@tpg.com.au by close of business (17:00hrs) on Tuesday 1 st April, 2014. Reserves can combine and compete as additional teams subject to fees being paid prior to verification of entries. Each club entering additional `B’, `C’, `D’ … teams can nominate a reserve for each team. All listed athletes not in the `A’ team can be moved among submitted teams `B’, `C’, `D’….. Final team formats must be confirmed at the verification of entries to be submitted via emails mkeelan@awf.com.au and qwa@tpg.com.au by close of business (17:00hrs) on Tuesday 1st April, 2014. Reserves can combine and compete as additional teams subject to fees being paid prior to verification of entries. Smaller clubs struggling to fill respective team sizes are allowed to combine with other clubs from the same state and enter a composite team. Composite teams must enter under the name of one Club only and details must be submitted via email mkeelan@awf.com.au and qwa@tpg.com.au by close of business (17:00hrs) on Tuesday 1st April, 2014. The team with the highest accumulative team Sinclair score will be declared the winner. $675 Prize money will be awarded to the winning Senior Male and Senior Female teams respectively. $450 will be awarded to the winning Junior Male and Junior Female winning teams respectively. A photo will be taken of the overall winning team. All competing athletes will receive a T-Shirt commemorating the event. An overall trophy will be awarded to the winning `A’ team that attains the highest accumulated Team Sinclair score from the four team categories (i.e. Senior Male Team `A’ Score + Senior Female Team `A’ Score + Junior Male Team ‘A’ Score + Junior Female Team `A’ Score) o Only those clubs entering an `A’ team in all four categories will be eligible to contest the overall trophy competition. The winning club will receive a ZKC 20kg barbell, collars and weights set in addition to the trophy. $375 Prize money will be awarded to the winning Masters Team that shall consist of three members of either same or mixed gender. Each team member’s SMM score will be added together to give an accumulated score. A photo will be taken of the overall winning team who have attained the highest combined SMM score. All competing athletes will receive a T-Shirt commemorating the event. Each athlete MUST present Photo ID to the Technical Officials conducting the weigh-in which displays the athletes name and date of birth. Failure to present this ID will result in the athlete not being eligible to contest the event. For insurance reasons, any injury suffered at the event must be reported to the appointed Competition Director and all paperwork needs to be completed and handed over on site. As this is not a bodyweight category competition, normal rules for weighing within a category aren’t entirely suitable. Should a lifter weigh in over or under a category limit, a lifter is permitted to try to reduce/increase weight and come back for re-weighing, but if he/she doesn’t ‘make weight’ by the end of the weigh-in period, his/her bodyweight at the first weighing is recorded for the competition. E.g. a lifter initially weighs in at 69.30. He/she is allowed to be weighed again as many times as required within the weigh-in period, to make the 69kg category limit. But at the end of the weigh-in period, he/she weighs 69.10. In that case, 69.30 is recorded as his/her bodyweight for the competition, not 69.10. An athlete who unfortunately fails to register a result in the Snatch will be allowed to continue in the Clean & Jerk section of the competition but will not be able to accrue team points. The event will be conducted on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 3-6 April, 2014 at Cougars Weightlifting Club, Chandler, Brisbane, Queensland. A preliminary timetable subject to change will be formulated following closure of entries and receipt of team entry fee by close of business on Monday, 17 February, 2014. No refunds will be issued for any team withdrawals after the close of entries. No late team entries will be accepted other than reserves combining to form additional teams at the verification of entries on Tuesday 1st April, 2014. Minimum entry age for JUNIOR team members is 10 years. Minimum entry age for SENIOR team members 13 years Minimum entry age for MASTERS team members is 35 years Athletes must be attired in accordance with IWF rules. All lifters must be able to perform a minimum starting weight of 15kg in both Snatch and Clean & Jerk Referees may wear either the current IWF Referee uniform (beige trousers/skirt, blue & white striped shirt, IWF tie, dark blue jacket), or the previous Referee uniform (grey trousers/skirt, white shirt, IWF or AWF tie, dark blue jacket). It is not permitted to mix components of the two uniforms.
