Durocher is Global Mining, Metals & Minerals Industry Manager for Eaton’s Electrical Business. He has over 35 years of experience with Westinghouse and Eaton serving in a variety of product engineering, sales and global marketing roles, authoring numerous technical papers that have been presented at conferences around the world and published in IEEE Industry Applications, Plant Engineering and EC&M Magazine. Dave is a Senior Member IEEE and presently serves as a member of the IEEE IAS Mining Industry Committee, Cement Industry Committee, Pulp & Paper Industry Committee and as President of the IEEE Industry Applications Society. Dr. Peter Magyar is a Fellow IEEE. He received Dipl. eng. and the Dr. Tech. degrees from the Budapest University of Technology, Hungary During 1967 to 1991, He was with the Department of Automation of the same university as an Assistant professor and a Research Associate. From 1982, he was Head of the Laboratory for Microprocessor Controlled Drives in the same department. Dr. Magyar has been author and co-author for several technical papers and books and filed more than 30 patents. His research interest focused on control and mathematical modelling of electrical drives and power converters. . His areas of interest have been control of electrical drives, car steering control and automatic car parking / manoeuvre systems. He was a recipient of the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship, Germany. He was Head of development for power electronics and drives at Hanning-Works, as well as D-Tech Ltd., Germany. He had retired in 2009 from Hella KGaA Hueck&Co., Germany, where he was with the Advanced Development Department between 2004 and 2009. He is a consultant in the fields of electric cars and electrical drives., His recent activities at IAS relate to Chapter and Membership development Activity, for ~12,000 members, 140 sections and 95 student branches Prof Sastry V. Vedula received his M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. from IIT Khagapur, India and a Post Doctoral( Von Humboldt) Fellow at Braunschweig, Germany. He worked at IIT Madras from 1968 to 1998, Iowa State University 1998-2002, University of Washington, Seattle, WA 1992-93, F R Germany 1992 Technical University, Munich, United Technologies Research Center, Hartford 2002-05, Hamilton Sundstrand 2005-2012. He also worked with National University of Singapore from 1982 to 1984. He guided 10 Ph.D. Students; 15 M.S. (Research based) & 34 M.S.E.E (Course based) students, published 32 Internationally Repute Journal Publications, 42 International/ National Conference Publications , 35 Patents (of which 6 are taken in India),6 Sponsored projects to a tune of Rs. 6 Million, 6 Sponsored research projects to the tune of $400,000. He is a Life Senior Member of IEEE, New York, Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineering, and Recipient of IETE Bimal Bose Award for Power Electronics Contributions, New Delhi. 1987 VASVIK Award for Contributions to Electrical Sciences, Bombay and a recipient of NRDC Invention Award, New Delhi in 1978, 1973 and 1970.
