Psalm 82:3 Restoration House of Greater Kansas City is a faith based long term residential program for adult women victims of human sex trafficking, offering a loving and safe environment from the indignities they have suffered by providing physical needs, trauma and addiction therapy, as well as education and job skill training. We seek to provide a house of restoration for survivors as they heal, and provide the resources they need to recover to live fulfilling lives without the pain and fear they have experienced for so long. Job Title: Residential House Manager Summary of position: Will be on site in community 5 evenings of each week with our women o Shifts are from 4:30pm – 10am (Sunday - Thursday OR Tuesday – Saturday) o Live-in option is available Must have a clear driving record, a valid driver’s license and valid automobile insurance. Must pass a national background check Must understand trauma informed care and the dynamics of CSE/DMST Must adhere to the “Do No Harm” mandate of care Daily duties: Observe clients and their interaction Occasionally transport clients to appointments Ensure the safety and security of the residents, including completion of daily walk thru Maintain program and client confidentiality, including former clients Elevate pertinent client and house concerns to the program director in a timely manner Supervise meal preparation and clean-up Assign and monitor completion of daily chores with program residents Document notable client interactions with staff, volunteers and/or other clients Defuse, manage and document situations involving a hostile attitude, or client’s attitude, or bouts of anger or other emotional out bursts to Restoration staff Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with program residents Perform walk through of entire shelter and perform needed remedial actions (close windows, sweep/mop/clean any crumbs on floors or kitchen counters, put away food left out, put dirty dishes into dishwasher, etc.) Weekly Duties: Prepare shopping list for all household and client food items. Conduct weekly house meetings with program residents. Attend and participate in weekly program team meetings. The following as needed: Reinforce community living guidelines with residents. Distribute personal care items to clients. With Restoration staff, arrange for birthday and holiday celebrations for clients. Document and respond to critical incidents Cleaning/Organization - Monthly: Check supply of client welcome kits and assemble new kits if necessary Clean, sanitize, and prepare newly vacated bedrooms to be ready for new client arrivals Maintenance and Supplies: Perform safety checks (outlet covers, storage of toxic cleaners, etc.) and resolve any safety concerns Document all household maintenance issues in the Facilities Log and ensure communication amongst staff Shovel and/or salt shelter steps, and path on the back patio in inclement weather Document all visitors, and volunteers, in daily log Prepare written and verbal reports as requested. Obtain and Maintain CPR certification Qualifications: Ideal candidate will have a Bachelors in Psychology, Sociology, Christian Counseling, LCSW, or related field (or equivalent lived experience and/or work experience) Experience working with women or people who have worked with diverse populations and particularly populations that have suffered abuse (DV, trafficking, sexual assault, etc) Previous experience in a residential, community setting is preferred Must possess strong conflict management skills Must understand the difference between living in community verses managing an institutional environment Must have a big heart and thick skin!
