Responsible for learning and recording the identification of 50 individual baboons, as well as instructing incoming research assistants in the study goals and field procedures. Data Collection: Collected extensive amounts of behavioral, topographic, and weather-oriented data, entering it later into Excel spreadsheets for future scientific analysis. LORE LINDU NATIONAL PARK – Research Assistant Sulawesi, Indonesia - June to July 2010 & June 2007 Found and captured a species thought to be extinct (Pygmy Tarsier); radio collared and tracked their movement to determine their location and habitat range. Also did an entomological survey via malaise and pitfall traps. RANOMAFANA NATIONAL PARK – Research Assistant Madagascar, Africa – August 2006 Accompanied a group of scientists, serving as the parasitologist, collecting ectoparasites, labeling corresponding morphometric data, and preparing samples for shipment to laboratory in Japan.
