Performance Standard Focus - Lesson should help students achieve one or more of the content standards. Content Knowledge and/or Skills – The lesson should help students understand important content knowledge and/or develop essential content skills and be aligned with appropriate national and common core state content standards. Teaching Strategies - Should be appropriate for the objectives of the lesson and the developmental level of the students as well as varied enough to engage students in the learning process. Organization: Initiation and Closure - The initiation of the lesson should help students to connect with the previous lesson and/or prior knowledge.
