ATHNA Continuing Education Task Force This task force is responsible for developing the organization’s continuing education (CE) infrastructure and developing continuing education for travel health nurses on a regular basis. THIS IS YOUR PLACE TO SHINE IF: You have good project management and organizational skills You are interested in emerging technologies relating to the delivery of continuing education programs You enjoy working in a group to bring projects to fruition or working alone on maintenance and record keeping concerns or obtaining CE credits for our programs You have experience as an educator and travel health expert RESPONSIBILITIES: Explore and make recommendations regarding various educational modalities Investigate, evaluate, and pilot various hardware, software, and vendor options to reach a wide audience, work within our budgetary constraints, and provide participants with a seamless experience Develop ongoing educational content Establish and enhance the continuing education infrastructure for long term growth and development MEETINGS Conference call every other month in the late afternoon/evening GOALS FOR 2015-2016: Host our second Networking, Education, and Development (NED) event in summer 2016. Expand our sites from 2 to 4-6 locations. Record at least one program that can be made available to those nurses unable to attend in person. Pilot at least one program in webinar format using a vendor such as GoToMeeting or MeetingOne, or PerforMax3 If interested in serving on this committee contact info@athna.org.
