A regular meeting of the Campbell County Board of Education was held on Monday, November 10, 2014, 6:00
P.M. at the Alexandria Educational Center, 51 Orchard Lane, Alexandria, Kentucky.
In attendance at the meeting were:

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Janis Winbigler, Chairperson.

the Superintendent.

Cross Country
On Thursday, October 23rd at the Northern Kentucky Athletic Conference Cross Country
Championship, Jennah Flairty bolted from the line and never looked back. She secured the first place
position and crossed the line as the 2014 Conference Champion 23 seconds ahead of the nearest
competition. This is the first time CCHS has had a female conference champion in over 13 years!
Congrats Jennah!
CCHS Girls' Soccer Team
Congratulations to the CCHS Girls' Varsity Soccer team who defeated Bishop Brossart for the third
time this year to capture the regional title. The team reigned as both district and regional champions.
Congratulations, girls!
In addition, we would like to congratulate the following varsity girls' soccer players on winning All
Region honors as voted on by the coaches in the 10th Region:
1st Team All Region and Defensive Player of the Year: Holly Schwarber
1st Team All Region: Carolyn Bertsch and Bryanna Schroers
2nd Team All Region: Kelsey Riley and Abby Vandergriff
3rd Team All Region: Stephanie Szovati

Congratulations to Tim Lanter, Jared Perkins and Tara Widener for completing the 2014-15
Governor’s Commonwealth Institute for Parent Leadership (G-CIPL) training program. Their
dedication to helping our students continue to succeed is greatly appreciated!

Congratulations to the following boys' soccer players for being chosen to the All-Region Team:
Third Team Forward - Rob Augspurger
Honorable Mention Midfield - Michael Dumaine
Honorable Mention Defender - Brandon Phelps
CCHS Student wins Bass Anglers Sportsmen Society Tournament
CCHS student, Devon Poe, won the Kentucky State Bass Angler Sportsmen Society National
Tournament last month. He won a $400 college scholarship and is now qualified to go to Nationals. He
is now rated the best youth bass angler in all of Kentucky. This is quite an accomplishment at his age.

Consider Resolution Authorizing Finance Corp. to Issue Refunding Revenue Bonds
14-101 Motion made by Fender, seconded by Combs, to adopt a Resolution authorizing the Campbell County
School District Finance Corporation to issue Refunding Revenue Bonds as submitted per the
recommendation of the Superintendent.

RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF CAMPBELL COUNTY SCHOOL
DISTRICT, ALEXANDRIA, KENTUCKY AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE
REFUNDING OF ALL OR A PORTION OF THE OUTSTANDING CAMPBELL COUNTY
SCHOOL DISTRICT FINANCE CORPORATION SCHOOL BUILDING REVENUE
BONDS, SERIES 2006; APPROVING THE PLAN OF REFUNDING SAID SERIES 2006
BONDS; CONFIRMING THE ACCEPTANCE OF AN OFFER OF ASSISTANCE FROM
THE KENTUCKY SCHOOL FACILITIES CONSTRUCTION COMMISSION;
AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF A PARTICIPATION
AGREEMENT WITH SAID COMMISSION; AND AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING
THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT, LEASE AND OPTION WITH THE CAMPBELL

(Project Closeout Form) and the Application and Certificate for Final Payment of $18,075 for BG#11133 as submitted by the Architects per the recommendation of the Superintendent.

Food Service – Transfer from General Fund to Food Service Fund
14-103 Motion made by Walch, seconded by Fender, to approve the transfer of $21,656 from the General Fund
to the Food Service Fund to meet Federal Meal Price Equity Guidelines for the 2013-14 school year as
submitted per the recommendation of the Superintendent.

14-105 Motion made by Fender, seconded by Walch, to approve the purchase of one (1) student transport
vehicle (Suburban) using the Kentucky Contract Price Procedure at a cost of approximately $37,000 per
the recommendation of the Superintendent.

Annual Financial Report (AFR) to KDE
This report reflects the same financial information as is contained in the Audit Report for 2013-14 as presented
by the Auditors. Campbell ended the 2013-14 school year with a General Fund balance of approximately $7
million, of which, $4.5 million is unassigned. The remaining balance is committed or assigned to Sick Leave
Benefits, Future Construction, SBDM Carry Forward, Future Obligations and Future Debt Obligations.
SFCC Offer of Assistance for Technology (KETS)
Campbell County Schools received a Kentucky Education Technology System (KETS) offer of assistance of
$40,298 from the Kentucky School Facilities Construction Commission (SFCC). Campbell County must match
this offer in order to receive these funds. Board approval indicates Campbell County will match these funds.
