Three Locality Co-ordinators will be responsible for developing relationships and local intelligence to inform the delivery of Young Scot’s services within their areas. Each Locality Co-ordinator will be employed and supported by the Young Scot Headquarters in Edinburgh, with local support from a host organistion. Key Responsibilities To promote the benefits of Young Scot services to partner organisations, identifying opportunities to enhance local service provision for young people. To identify ways for Young Scot to enhance impact for young people who may be experiencing inequalities in local areas. To understand and consultation partners’ requirements to ensure Young Scot services meet local needs, and work with the wider Young Scot team to meet these needs. To develop and maintain relationships with staff working across departments within local authorities as well as within health boards, police divisions, the third sector and other Community Planning partners. This will include using a Customer Relationship Management system. To work with the External Relations Directorate to maximise the success of any marketing campaigns as well as maintaining ongoing contact with local partners. This will involve creating jointly with Young Scot Headquarters and sending e-newsletters and other communications which are tailored to local partners. To work with the Entitlements & Rewards Directorate to maximise the benefits of the Young Scot National Entitlement Card. This will include identifying new opportunities for local discounts and rewards as well as supporting engagement with the licensed trade to ensure acceptance of the card as proof of age. To work with the Information, Research and Strategy Directorate to ensure local content is made available through Young Scot digital platforms and young people have opportunities to participate in co-design projects.
