Aims & Objectives:
1. Recognise common benign and premalignant lesions in the oral cavity and their
management.
2. Understand Oral Cancer: Common types, aetiology and modalities of treatment and
complications.
3. Understand the effect of Radiotherapy on the dentition, signs and symptoms of Oral
Mucositis.
4. Understand the Maxillary sinus as a close anatomical structure to the oral cavity.
5. Understand the rehabilitation of the Maxilla with dental implants, including sinus lift
procedures, Zygomatic implants and “all in four”.
6. Gain insight into why patients complain, and understand the GDC PCC process and standard
setting in the field of implant implantology.
