Free Insurance Scheme - Product Factsheet

The free insurance scheme is offered by Xpress Money in partnership with Union Insurance

This is a first- of – its- kind scheme to be ever launched in the remittance industry

The free insurance scheme is specifically designed to benefit the blue collared migrants residing
and working across GCC Countries

The scheme offers a life insurance cover of AED 15K including AED 5K of repatriation expenses
of the mortal remains

The insurance benefit will automatically be available to any person remitting money through
Xpress Money for a period of one month, from the day the customer makes a transaction

No laboratory tests or doctors certificates are required to avail of the insurance

The insurance scheme is valid for a month, from the day a transaction is done using Xpress
Money and can be renewed every month

Only a transaction through Xpress Money is required to renew the insurance on a monthly basis

The scheme does not cover suicide, death of seriously ill person with illness linked to preexisting condition

The insurance scheme cover is offered to remitters in the following countries sending money to

Terms & Conditions:

Minimum cover age is 18 years and the maximum cover age is 65 years

No Benefits under this policy shall be payable in respect of funds transferors where the event
giving rise to a claim under this policy occurs as a result of:
 The effects or complications arising from pregnancy;
 Any accident occurring on or in or about any aircraft other than an aircraft in which the
Funds Transferor was travelling as a bonafide passenger and which is operated by a licensed
commercial or chartered airline;
 Nuclear radiation, nuclear fission, nuclear fusion and/or radioactive contamination
 Riot, civil commotion, strikes and war (whether war be declared or not), rebellion,
insurrection, resurrection, popular rising, usurped power, terrorism
 The influence of alcohol or drugs other than proper use of drugs prescribed by a legally
qualified medical practitioner but this exclusion shall not apply to Death arising out of the
above reason.
 Death of seriously ill person with illness linked to pre-existing condition is excluded.
However, this exclusion is applicable only if the Company is able to substantiate knowledge
about ‘serious illness linked to pre-existing condition’ at the time of transaction.
 Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), AIDS related Complex (ARC) as defined by
the World Health Organisation from time to time; or the presence of the Human
Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) as revealed by the positive HIV anti-body or HIV test.

information: - Name of claimant & address, Name of Deceased, Relationship with Deceased, Details of
the Deceased (Name, Nationality, Gender, Passport No.), Date of Death.
**In the event of claim, following DOCUMENTS are required- Death certificate / Post mortem report,
Police report, Medical report, Copy of passport with visa page, National ID and any other documents as
may be required.
