2016 Committee Interest Form
Complete by November 13, 2015
According to Jim Collins, author of Good to Great and the Social Sectors, “great companies
focus on getting and retaining the right people – those individuals who are productively neurotic,
those who are self-motivated and self-disciplined, those who wake up every day, compulsively
driven to do the best they can because it is simply part of their DNA.”
ACNL is looking for members to participate on our 2016 Committees! So if you are a leader who
is “productively neurotic, self motivated and self-disciplined” your professional association needs
you.
(For a complete description of each committee’s duties and responsibilities visit the ACNL web
site at www.acnl.org, log in and click on Committee Meetings, click on the committee you are
interested in, i.e. Annual Program Committee, and then click on Mission Statement.)
Committee Selection Process:
 All members interested in volunteering for an ACNL Committee must complete the
Committee Interest Form, even if you are currently on a committee.
 Committee appointments are made by the president-elect.
 Every effort will be made to assign members to a committee. However, we may have
more volunteers than we have committees.
 All committees will be assigned a minimum of one board liaison.
 Geographic or Chapter representation for all committees is a priority.
 The majority of committee work is done virtual via conference call or webinars.
 If you are asked to travel for a face-to-face meeting, ACNL will cover member travel to
committee meetings. (Please see ACNL Travel Policy for specific details. The policy can
be found in the member’s only section of the web. www.acnl.org).
