NEUBERT FACTS AND FUN Mr. Robert Kruse painted our mascot, the NEUBERT KNIGHT, in two locations in our building prior to the 1995-96 school year. Our students chose our mascot, the NEUBERT KNIGHT, in 1986-87. You will find Mr. Kruse’s artwork outside the main office and in the 5th grade hallway. Mr. Kruse also completed the student silhouettes in our student lunchroom during the 1996-97 school year. In 1989, Mrs. Cathy Bufkin of the Neubert community painted a map of the United States of America on the South wall of our Multipurpose Room. Mrs. Bufkin also painted the NEUBERT KNIGHT in our gymnasium during the same year. Our logo, YEAR OF THE CHILD, was adopted by Dr. Krewer and staff members in 1979 when the building opened. The logo was adopted with permission from the United Nations, who proclaimed 1979 as the International Year of the Child. In March, 2014, former Neubert student, Christine Marchi, hand painted a new NEUBERT KNIGHT mural in the entry foyer of the school.
