RDA Seniors:
Enclosed is information concerning our scholarship application process. To be eligible for
consideration, you must be a senior and have earned at least 3 units at R.D Anderson. Priority
consideration for all scholarships is given to students who have applied to college, have taken a
placement test and have been accepted. Below is a list of items that must be completed before
submission:
1. Application form – It must be filled out completely. However, if there is any
information that does not apply to you, please put a N/A in that section or space. Please
do not leave any line blank.
2. RDA instructor recommendation form – Once the instructor has completed the
recommendation, please have them return to Mrs. Kerri McAlister, Industrial Relations
Coordinator.
3. High school instructor recommendation form – Once the instructor has completed the
recommendation, please have them return to you in a sealed envelope. Please include
this when you submit the scholarship application packet to Mrs. Kerri McAlister.
4. Copy of the letter of acceptance or provisional letter of acceptance to college.
A point system is used to award scholarships. Points are awarded in the following areas:




GPA
Number of RDA courses taken
Having applied and taken a placement test (ASSET, COMPASS, SAT or ACT)
Complete scholarship application packet
The deadline to submit all scholarship application packets is Friday, April 3rd by 3:05 pm.
Please submit all completed application packets to the Industrial Relations Coordinator,
Mrs. Kerri McAlister. Incomplete packets will not be considered and packets submitted after the
specified deadline, will not be accepted. It is the student’s responsibility, not the RDA
instructor’s, to submit their completed application packet on time.
