The needles are magnified by the bottle curves and lend an interesting perspective for the children. Vocab: magnify, green, curve, length words. Assorted boxes, wrapping Wrapping present station: paper, bows, scissors, tape Children will use assorted wrapping supplies to wrap and unwrap boxes. Vocab: cut, line, tape, scissors, fold, measure, boy, present. 4 reindeer mats placed on blue Roll A Reindeer: serving trays, After creating 4 reindeer 1 large dice, mats, children roll a die and 1 completed reindeer head build a reindeer piece by piece example as each number on the die corresponds to a part of a reindeer face. The first child to complete the reindeer head wins. Vocab: head, antlers, ears, eyes, nose, mouth. Art Play Dramatic 30: Shows an understanding of people and how they live Bag of assorted Christmas bows with the stickers removed and small magnets added, cookie sheets wrapped with Christmas paper, large magnetic board Christmas Bow Magnetic Play: After being assured that the only thing under the wrapping paper is a boring old cookie sheet, children are encouraged to take turns exchanging gifts, selecting bows, and/or have a Christmas party. Children can also use the magnet board to expand their play. Encourage sorting, counting, and shape making. Jingle Bell Bottles: Children use different sized magnets to manipulate jingle bells inside of assorted, sealed clear bottles of water.
