League Bowling starts September 14 and will continue every Monday until next May. It is very
important that you are prepared and ready to start promptly at 4:30pm.

Coloring Contest

Past coloring events have been fun and well attended. This month we are adding a twist…..
Prizes!!!! You may use color crayons, colored pencils, markers or you may bring your favorites
from home. This event is FREE

On September 15 we will be attending our Annual Banquet. This is an opportunity to thank
our board members that are leaving and welcome our new board members. Please join us for
this event to create a thought filled and beautiful thank you card for our parting members. Let
them know how much you appreciate what they have done for you while in office. Cost:FREE

Once a year we have a banquet to celebrate our Board Members. At this banquet we say goodbye to leaving members and welcome the new ones. We will start the evening with a sit down
meal. A short acknowledgement of members will follow. Then it will be PARTY TIME!!! Rockin’
Rob will entertain us while we dance the rest of the night away. RSVP 8-8-15 Cost: $5.00
September 22nd
Movie Night

It’s too far out for the theatre to know which movies will be available on this date, however if
you check the ARS website www.nuars.org a week or two before the 22nd we will have all the
information that you need posted there. You are responsible for your own admission to the
movie and ARS will provide you with a small bag of popcorn and a small soda. Cost:$ 8.75
September 29th Fall Flower Door/Wall Décor Community Center Room 112 6:30 pm
Fall will be here before you know it and it is time to start planning our fall decorations. This
event will use a variety of leaves, fall flowers and a flashy ribbon to tie this piece together. This
is a DON’T MISS event and we hope to see you there. RSVP 8-25-15 Cost: $3.00

People First meeting will start at 6:00 followed by the September Birthday Party starting at
7pm. Do you have a birthday in September? If you do you will attend this event for FREE. This
month we will celebrate with Karaoke and cupcakes and ice cream. Cost: FREE
September 9th
ARS Battle of the Teams
Community Center Room 112
6:30pm
This event is similar to the TV show Family Feud. We will separate into two teams and take
turns answering random questions. Correct and unique answers will be rewarded with prizes.
Guaranteed fun!! Be prepared to laugh! Cost: FREE
September 16th
Refrigerator Magnets Community Center Room 112
6:30pm
We will make beautiful refrigerator magnets for you to take home or give as gifts. Bring your
imagination. Cost: $1.00

Bingo

Join your friends for a friendly game of Bingo. Prizes and refreshments will be served. Cost: $1

Invite your friends to this event-the more the merrier! We will have SEVERAL different games to
choose from. Our group will split up into groups of 2 to 4 players. We will have prizes for all that
attend and enjoy an evening of junk food and beverages. Cost: FREE

Walking Track

6:30-7:30pm
Work off a heavy supper or just enjoy a stroll with a friend. Make sure that you sign the ARS
sign-in book at the table before you enter the walking track. Cost: FREE
September 24th
Turner Ladies Annual Sauerkraut Supper Turner Halle
5pm
It’s that time of year again for the Turner Ladies Annual Sauerkraut Supper. We will meet in the
front of the building (State Street) between 4:45-5:00 to get signed up. Then we will enter as a
group and sit together. Cost: $5.00
Saturday September 12th 6:30pm Join your
ARS friends to cheer on the Goosetown Roller
Girls. This action-packed event will be a hit
with everyone. The bout starts at 7pm, but we
will meet by the doors of the Civic Center at
6:30 to get tickets and to be directed where to
sit. Please be on time. Anyone arriving late will
be responsible for their own admission to the
event. RSVP 8-11-15 Cost: FREE
ANNUAL BANQUET SEPTEMBER 15TH 5PM
THE ANNUAL BANQUET WILL BE HELD AT THE CAFETERIUM IN THE COMMUNITY CENTER. WE
WILL ENJOY A DELICIOUS SIT DOWN DINNER THAT WILL INCLUDE DESSERT. THE FOLLOWING
FORMS WILL BE HANDED OUT AT THIS EVENT
ARS SCOUTS
ARS Scouts will be kicking off in the month of
October. ARS Scouts will offer our participants
many fact filled and fun filled events. ARS
Scouts is open to everyone, however you need
to sign up in order to attend. The forms for
this along with information will be available at
this banquet.
BOWLING T-SHIRTS
One of the fun things about bowling is
the T-shirt.
Order forms for t-shirts will be handed
out at the banquet.
Check the ARS Website OFTEN! Many times it is necessary to get information
out after the newsletter is sent. Movie night and weather related cancellations for example.
The website www.nuars.org is the quickest and most reliable method to get the answers that
you need.
*We put a lot of time and effort into ARS Events. Being on
time is very important for these events to run smoothly. Please plan accordingly. Events that
require an RSVP are events that need supplies/tickets/food purchased beforehand. Please leave
names of participants and number of staff attending to properly plan for these events. Thank
