Job Description HES Superintendent – Field Support Requisition
Chevron is one of the world's leading integrated energy companies, with subsidiaries that conduct
business worldwide. The company is involved in virtually every facet of the energy industry. Chevron
explores for, produces and transports crude oil and natural gas; refines, markets and distributes
transportation fuels and lubricants; manufactures and sells petrochemical products; generates power and
produces geothermal energy; and develops the energy resources of the future, including biofuels.
Chevron Canada Limited (Upstream) has been active in Canada for more than 75 years. Since our arrival
in Alberta in 1938, our company has established a proud legacy of exploration success, innovation and
growth. And throughout this time, we have continued to support the communities where we live and
work. As a result, we look optimistically to the future, as we pursue our vision to grow our core assets
profitably and position Chevron for new legacy assets in frontier regions and emerging unconventional
resource plays.
Chevron’s existing assets in Canada include a 26.9 percent and 26.6 percent non-operated ownership
interests, respectively, in the Hibernia and Hebron projects offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, and a
20 percent non-operated ownership interest in the Athabasca Oil Sands Project in northeastern Alberta.
In addition, Chevron Canada holds a 50 percent operated interest in the proposed Kitimat LNG project in
British Columbia. On April 9, 2015, Woodside Energy International (Canada) Limited joined the Kitimat
LNG project as a 50:50 co-venturer with Chevron Canada. Chevron is currently the operator of the
downstream components of the project, including the LNG liquefaction facility at Bish Cove near
Kitimat, British Columbia, and the natural gas Pacific Trail Pipeline. Following an interim transition
period, Chevron will assume the role of operator for the project’s upstream resources in the Liard and
Horn River Basins in northeastern British Columbia.
Chevron Canada is also targeting natural gas and natural gas liquids from the Duvernay shale formation in
west-central Alberta. Chevron has a net 70 percent operated interest in approximately 330,000 acres in the
liquids-rich formation and is the operator under a Joint Operating Agreement for that area with KUFPEC
Canada Inc., which holds a net 30 percent interest. Chevron commenced an exploration program in the
Duvernay in 2011, subsequently drilling 16 horizontal wells and completing 13 wells using multi-stage
hydraulic fracturing. In the second half of 2014, Chevron commenced a pad drilling program to evaluate
well production rates and reservoir performance.
