Biography
1955-60 Dip. Art, Swinburne College, Melbourne; Studied at RMIT Melbourne and
the National Art School, Melbourne
1966-71 Travelled through Europe, part-time study at Ruskin College, Oxford,
England
1984-1998 Based in Melbourne. Taught part-time at Victorian Artists Society and
private students.
1982-83 Artist in residence, Trades Hall council, Melbourne
1999-2001 Lived and worked part of each year in Indonesia and Singapore
2006 Travelled and worked in Italy
2006-2008 Visited Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Morocco, Spain and France

Private commissions including copies of classical Dutch Master paintings, French
orientalist Gerome, Tiepolo and Velazquez; paintings for Crown Casino restaurant
Sculpture commission, Italianate frieze, based on Roman sarcophagus for Lady
Potter private collection.
1996
Commissions for private residences and commercial buildings in Jakarta (Indonesia)
and Singapore, for South-east Asian design/interior company. Projects included
three paintings (two panels, each 17' x 9' and one 17' x 12 ') for the foyer of the
Empire Tower building in central Jakarta and large murals for a major restaurant as
well as paintings in private residences.
1989-97
Commissions for trompe l'oeil work including Raddison International Hotel
(Melbourne) murals for Hayman Island resort (Queensland);
panels for restoration work at Victorian Exhibition Buildings (Melbourne), Brunetti
Cafe (Carlton, Melbourne);
Museum, Royal Australian Air Force Base, Wagga, NSW;
House & Garden magazine display for international interior design exhibition, plus
many private commissions.
