Entries on the day from 8.00am to 9.00am
Class 1 to commence 8.30am (entry closed 8.15am)
Riders to wear riding jackets. Riders must ride in order of the draw.
Only 4 riders at a time in practice area prior to competing in each class
Horses entered in Class 1 are not eligible for Class 7.
Half an hour lunch break to be announced (usually after class5.)

HORSE COMPETITION
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. The Event will be conducted under EA Rules as Amended.
2. Entry to any class in the competition conditions an authority for the Jerrawa Show Society Inc (The
Society) to call an ambulance or medical attention in the event of such services being required and
all Competitors agree to pay any cost incurred as a consequence.
3. The Society will not be responsible for any accident that may occur and it will be a condition of entry
that each competitor attending the show shall hold the secretary blameless and indemnify against
any legal proceedings from any such accident.
4. All competitors in all horse events must complete and sign a Animal Indemnity and Waiver Form
prior to competing at the Jerrawa Show each year and present it to the Horse ring Administrator or
their Representative unless a current EFA card is produced.
5. All competitors in the horse events must provide details of their EA registration if a member and full
names of themselves and their horses to the Stewards.
6. All riders must wear an approved safety helmet standard AS/NZ 3838:1988. Wearing is compulsory
in all Rings.
7. All entries in Breed classes must be registered with the relevant Society. The Judge, Chief Ring
Steward or their representatives may ask for registration papers.
8. Competitors must choose between Open Hack and Show Hunters Classes. You cannot compete in
both.
9. No horses to warm up in the ring after 8.00am
10. THERE WILL BE NO CHANGES TO THIS YEARS PROGRAM ON THE DAY. Suggestions made in writing
will be considered for next year’s program.
11. A novice class is for a horse that has not won at any Agricultural Show.
12. A novice rider is a competitor who has not won at any Agricultural Show.
13. Any Class held with four entries or less, only the First Prize money will be awarded.
14. All events will be conducted under EA rules.
15. Stallions and Colts must be in the control of a competent person 18 yrs or over at all times.
Disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
16. From 1 September 2012 anyone who keeps horses in NSW is required to have a Property
Identification Code (PIC) for the land on which the horses are kept. It is a requirement that all show
societies note the PIC on the Horse Waiver forms.
17. Prize money only awarded in the Show Jumping and Sporting competitions.
DRUG TESTING MAY BE CARRIED OUT AT THIS SHOW. ANY
COMPETITOR FOUND TO HAVE BREACHED THE ASC DISPUTES &
DISCIPLINARY REGULATIONS WILL BE INVESTIGATED BY ASC
DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE

participation, in events or activities at an agricultural show contains elements of risk, both obvious and inherent.
The risks involved may result in property damage and/or personal injury including death.

‘risk warning’ for the purposes of Division 5 of the Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW).

I understand that by participating in this show, the subject minor may become exposed to the risk of injury, and
I consent to the participation.

I, the signatory assert that the below named minor voluntarily consents to participation in this show.
5.
I, the signatory acknowledge the risk referred to above and agree to waive any and all rights that I, the above
named minor, or any other person, may have against the Jerrawa Show Society in relation to any loss or
injury (including death) that is suffered by the subject minor as a result of participation in this show/event.
6.
The signatory must continually indemnify the Jerrawa Show Society on a full indemnity basis against any claim
or proceeding that is made, threatened or commenced, and any liability, loss, (including consequential loss,
and loss of profits), damage or expense (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis) that the Jerrawa Show
Society incurs or suffers, as a direct or indirect result of the subject minor’s participation in any event held by
the Jerrawa Show Society.
