INVENTIONS OF LEONARDO DA VINCI ARE BEING BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE IN
VELKÝ SÁL OF LUCERNA IN PRAGUE!
Historically most consistent travelling exhibition of the work of Leonardo da Vinci
“Da Vinci - Inventions“ will be presented in Velký sál of Lucerna
from 16.6. until 28.8.2015

Da Vinci Inventions exhibition!
Experience Leonardo da Vinci as one of the greatest genius in history and be inspired by
his unique work as an artist, scientist and inventor. The interactive world is going to pull
you into the timeless genius of Leonardo da Vinci through the real life exhibits designed
according to his codices. The exhibition features also study of his unique artwork.
Da Vinci Inventions – Exhibition presents Leonardo da Vinci as an inventor, painter,
anatomist, sculptor, musician and architect. The scale of unique items includes examples
of Leonardo da Vinci´s inventions or interactive models of his most famous artworks.
Visitors are part of the exhibition through the interactive screens so that they could
experience the scientific principles based on Leonardo da Vinci´s drafts.

brings you a unique experience of Leonardo da Vinci´s work not only if you are a fan of
history and art but also if you are seeing his masterpiece for the first time.“
The project Da Vinci Inventions was created under the auspices of the Museo Leonardo
da Vinci in Rome together with the assistance of many Italian artisans and experts. It
celebrates one of the most respected and versatile persons in all times. The exhibition
presents 13 thematically coherent areas of Leonardo´s work and offers the visitor
a unique insight into a mind of an ideal renaissance man, who laid the groundwork for
inventions such as helicopter, airplane, car, submarine, parachute or even bicycle.
All the inventions were created by Italian artisans. Many of them are using technique
identical to the renaissance one. Artisans were researching more than 6000 pages of
Leonardo´s notebooks – so-called codices to decipher hidden riddles, purposeful
mistakes and mirror-writing that Leonardo used in order to keep is inventions secret.
The history, theory and goal of each invention and artwork are being conveyed to
visitors of the Leonardo da Vinci Inventions exhibition through modern technologies.
Leonardo´s most famous exhibited artworks include reproductions of „Virgin of the
Rocks“ and „Annunciation“, new controversial discovery „Bella Principessa“(profile of
a young girl in renaissance dress), amazing anatomical sketches and also a study of the
„Battle of Anghiari“ painting. „The Last Supper“ and „Vitruvian Man“ are transformed
into visually and technically dynamic exhibits. „Sforza Horse monument“ is being
presented in an new unpublished angle.
Visitors can also browse through Leonardo´s codices on touch-screen displays thanks to
which they learn about the mysterious writing of this genius.
The exhibition was created under the auspices of the city of Rome (Comune di Roma),
Florence (Comune di Firenze) and Venice (Cittá Di Venezia).
The exhibition opens up to public on 16.6.2015 at 10am. Tickets for Da Vinci Inventions
exhibition are available by the entry, in the TICKETPRO network or you can order them
online on the website www.davincivystava.cz
Entrance fee:
Adult: 299,-, Reduced (students, seniors, people with reduced mobility): 249,-,
Family ticket (2 adults and 3 children): 799,It is also possible to order a guided tour on the official website of the exhibition.
Da Vinci Inventions exhibition will be opened daily from 10am to 8pm.
