Motivational & Emotional Analysis of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
As one of the pinnacle films for the homestretch of adolescence, we are going to be watching Ferris Bueller’s Day
Off. You will be doing a case study on two characters in the film, and focus on recording notes using this packet. These
notes will prepare you for the analytical paper you are to write.
You will be writing a 2-3 page analysis of the motivational & emotional states for two of the film’s characters you
have chosen to case study. Apply the various theories of motivation as well as the theories of emotions in evaluating the
experiences and scenarios the characters find themselves in throughout the film. I am looking for you to evaluate at least
three different events for each character.
Other specifics to follow are of course using MLA citations (both in-text and a works cited), 10-12 pt serif font , and
include your note sheets when you turn in your papers.
Follow your rubric and you will do well!
