1. Welcome: Johnny Trujillo
2. Recognize visitors:
 Eloy Lopez with Re/Max will host home buying seminar free of charge at Anson Jones on
Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 1-3pm.
 Jose Luis Zelaya with Council for Minority Student Affairs (CMSA). CMSA will host a
march that will support in-state tuition for undocumented students and DAPA parents
march to take place Wednesday, March 4 at 10:30am Rudder Plaza and a press
conference at Simpson Drill Field.
3. New members: Corina De La Cruz, Mary De La Cruz and Angela Diaz
4. Treasurer’s financial report: Dora – as of 01/01/15 balance of account xx1751 $12,921.44,
02/19/15 balance $12,820.69; scholarship account xx7111 $100.00. Albert N motioned, Greg R
second, motioned passed to approve treasurer report.
5. Jody R – introduced Astrid Fuentes with National Hispanic Institute
 NHI of Maxwell TX is working with students to create opportunities to help community.
Ernest Nieto – have helped 100,000 students in the last 36 years nationwide. They have
built relationships with 85 universities. Program is held during the summer.
6. Rita Portales – put on the table to discuss a proper procedure for requests funerals and such.
Reuben M suggested the executive board make those decisions as needed basis.
7. Discuss venue & date for Gala 2015 Kick-off:
 Since no sponsorship was secured by February 19 it was voted to forgo the kick-off
8. Distribute 2014 table sponsor – postponed till March 5
9. Committee list: golf committee is in need of hole sponsors. Rosa Cantu has secured sponsors
and the food for the breakfast.
10. Gene Perez: presented RDM proposal for a one year contract to include video, commercials and
gala for $10k after in-kind donation of $14K, per Thomas Mata can make monthly payments.
Gene P motioned, Joe G second, motion passes to get a one year contract with RDM.
11. Chamber of Commerce business after hours social: Al Saenz supported the idea of HF being
present at the socials. It was suggested to go month-to-month for the socials falling on the same
date as HF meetings.

1. Anson Jones donation request for Cinco de Mayo
2. Neal Elementary School donation request for $600 for dresses for Ballet
Folklorico Los Altos de Jalisco. Mark motioned Reuben second, motioned passed
to table the donation requests till after the golf tournament
 Gala performers:
1. Jimmy G quote $6k, Jody to get contract
2. Mark R to get contract from David Maris
13. Next meeting: Thursday, March 5, 2015 then Tuesday, March 24 followed by group picture
