Its role is to provide students with a range of activities to enable them to develop their musical and artistic talents. To this end a wide range of enrichment programmes, essential resources and top quality teaching is made available in schools throughout the county. The Trust offers individual tuition on all orchestral instruments, piano, singing, guitar, drum kit and keyboard. [with the exception of piano and drums/percussion, you will need your own instrument] and drama. Tuition usually takes place at the Music & Performing Arts Centre in Northampton, however it may be arranged in other Centres where there is a local teacher available. Please ask for details. Whilst the mainstay of teaching is done with school age children, we are able to offer individual tuition to adults. The charge for tuition is currently £160.00 per 10 x 30 minute lessons In some circumstances we may be able to offer a 20 minute lesson (please ask) What happens next? Once an application has been received, we will contact our specialist teachers to check their availability. The amount of time you may be waiting will depend upon teacher availability, instrument, level of ability and your own availability. There are many factors involved in placing a student with a teacher and we will contact you once we have a teaching space to offer you. When lessons have been arranged We will contact you to confirm arrangements – name of teacher, time of lessons and location. Once the lessons have been set up, they will continue until you or the teacher arranges for them to stop. Five weeks’ notice is required in the event of you wishing to discontinue [or 5 weeks fees in lieu of notice] If you miss a lesson Please be aware that all missed lessons are charged unless agreed otherwise with the teacher. If the teacher is absent, the lesson will be taught at a later date. Payment of Fees Payment is due at the start of each payment period or immediately that the first lesson takes place [please do not send any payment with this form]. Please note we do not issue invoices. Late payments requiring a reminder will incur a surcharge of £10.00 for each reminder sent. *Northamptonshire Music & Performing Arts Trust operates on 3 payment periods per year:1.
