for ILI and GI syndromes. It also includes user-generated comparisons, and site-specific details
about jurisdictions, their data collection procedures, and the characteristics of their reporting.
Monthly Electronic Newsletters
The Distribute Share is a monthly electronic newsletter that provides the Distribute community with
news regarding relevant surveillance topics, ISDS events and announcements, tips for using the
Distribute system, ISDS project and committee updates, and national influenza summaries. The
share is sent to over 170 people monthly. ISDS also sends a monthly newsletter to its 300+
members.
Distribute Community Forum
This on-line tool for information exchange, collaboration and learning among serves Distribute
contributors and project partners. The Forum is a secure, by invitation only space, administered by
ISDS. Within the Forum, users are welcome to connect with other surveillance professionals, learn,

Syndromic Surveillance 101 (SS101)
ISDS, Tufts University School of Medicine, and Tufts Health Care Institute are jointly sponsoring
this online course, comprised of a series of 4 modules, which provides an overview of
syndromic surveillance.
Each module features an audio presentation, accompanied by slides and followed with an
evaluation and post-test. Each module is approximately one-hour in length. This activity has been
approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Contact hours will be awarded for nurses.
