Who am I? I am microscopic but not as small as that guy. He is not even a cell. I am
definitely smaller and less complex than those guys over there. Wait there is a card in my
pocket….it reads:
“Hello, cell. You are suffering from intermittent amnesia. I am your doctor and I
am working on a visual aid to help you remember your role in the Henderson’s
backyard environment. Please come by the Gar-Bage Medical Center to pick up your
identity.”
Yours Truly,
Mr. Omnipotent
As Mr. Pro Kayotic’s doctor you need to research the following information and create a
visual aid for him so he can remember how important he is to the Henderson’s backyard.
You need to summarize his role in maintaining homeostasis in an ecosystem. You need to
describe the Nitrogen cycle and his part in the cycle so he can get back to work. Mr.
Karyotic is not feeling important and that is triggering his infrequent amnesia so include
information on how disruptions in the Nitrogen cycle can affect an environment. In case
Mr. Karyotic is looking to make a career change you can describe other roles members of
his kind play.
Visual Aid required
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
Tri-fold a piece of legal size paper
Cut each flap in half to form two doors
Place a riddle and illustration on front of each flap
Inside each flap, write the answer to the riddle and the reason for that answer
In the central area, construct a concept map with the term as spokes. Be sure to
have the reason for why connecting the term to the central concept.
6. On a separate page, research Nitrogen cycle images and create 3 questions from
the image to help test someone’s knowledge of Bacteria’s role in the Nitrogen Cycle.
