Readings For each semester one title of students' own choice. TEACHING METHOD Classroom lectures in which students are expected to actively participate. ASSESSMENT METHOD Oral exam: translation and commentary of a passage from the literary works studied in the special subject course; discussion of the readings for the part of the course dealing with the fundamental elements of the history of literature: these texts will be posted in the virtual classroom. NOTES Students registered with the Foreign languages and literature profile are required to attend both semesters. Students with the Management and tourism language expert and the Languages, communication and media profiles are required to attend just one semester of their choice. Dott. Gloria Colombo will hold the lectures in the fundamental elements of literature in both semesters. Students who wish to write their final dissertation for the three-year, first-level degree in German literature, and students applying for a scholarship to study abroad (Socrates/Erasmus), are required to attend the seminar Introduction to German Studies (held in the second semester by Dott.
