Who are the Friends of the
Gaines Township Branch
Library?
We are a group of volunteers
who support the Gaines
Township Branch Library by
sharing our time, ideas, and
resources to promote the use
of the library and the services
it offers.
What do the Friends of the
Library do?
The group, a non-profit
organization, offers an
opportunity to meet people
with the same interests
working towards the same
goals as you -- to help the
library better serve our
community.
We meet bimonthly on the
second Thursday of the
month in the Library
As a Friend, you can
volunteer as much or as little
as your schedule permits.
HOW you can help:
 Advocacy at the local,
state and national level by
supporting a library
millage and/or contacting
your legislators.
 Fundraising events like
an annual book sale or
special program.
 Community Outreach at
events like Cutlerville
Days, Dutton Days and
the South Kent National
Night Out.
 Supporting the Friends by
being an officer or serving
on a committee such as
the book sale or
newsletter.
 Supporting the branch by
assisting with special
projects (i.e. a program or
seasonal decorating).
