Reminder: Our regular council meeting will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015 St. Mary’s Gym beginning at 7:00 PM. Reminder: The KC’s will be selling chicken BBQ plates on Sunday, February 1, 2015 behind St. Mary’s Gym. Cost per plate has increased to $10.00 per plate. Volunteers need to be there at 7:00 AM to help prepare the meal. If you cannot come early, we would appreciate any help late to help clean up. Sales begin at 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Reminder: On Friday, January 30, 2015, at 5:00 PM, we will need help seasoning chickens for our KC chicken BBQ. Texas Chaw will no longer be receiving the chickens and seasoning them for us. We now have a new walk-in cooler that will enable us to store meat on the premises. A big thank you to Mike Thompson and Floyd Fritcher, Jr. of Texas Chaw for doing that for the past several years. Reminder: The KC’s will be cooking and serving meals once again for the Journey class on the second Wednesday of each month. We will be cooking Wednesday, February 11, beginning at 4:30 PM. Meal to be ready by 5:45 PM. Any help is greatly appreciated. Steve Kocurek has once again volunteered to be in charge. Reminder: The KC Lenten Fish Fry will begin on Friday, February 20, 2015. Preparations will begin at noon on that day. Please try to come and help. We will be selling plates behind St. Mary’s Gym. Reminder: The KC Festival will be held on Sunday, March 1, at the Caldwell SPJST Hall. Please try to volunteer your time and donations. Thank you to Brother Knights of KC Council 6366 for preparing the delicious steak meal for the St. Mary’s Reverse Raffle for the new parish hall project on Friday, January 23 at the Burleson County Expo Center. The meal and the raffle were a huge success. Thank you to Tyler Kocurek for chairing the Free Throw contest that was held on Sunday, January 11, 2015 in St. Mary’s Gym. Brother Knight, Santos Vasquez, recently passed away. Message from our worthy Financial Secretary: He is taking dues for 2015. Annual dues are $24.00.
