Rissington Kart Club
Round 1 – March 2 nd 2014
Although the weather was cold, windy and wet, it didn’t dampen the spirits of the competitors that took part in the first round of our championship this year.
The first class that took to the track were the Honda & Comer Cadets, who were extremely well supported this weekend, with the following drivers winning their heats and final:
Heat 1 (Comer) was won by Max Fenlon, followed by Connor Kearney & O Stratford
Heat 1 (Honda) was won by C Stevenson, followed by Louis Harvey & Archie Hancox.
Heat 2 (Comer) saw Max Fenlon take the win, followed by Will Day & Connor Kearney.
Heat 2 (Honda) saw Zak O’Sullivan, followed by Louis Harvey & C Stevenson.
Heat 3 (Comer) was won by Connor Kearney, followed by Max Fenlon & Oliver Stratford.
Heat 3 (Honda) was won by Zak O’Sullivan, followed by Archie Hancox & Louis Harvey.
Final (Comer) was won by Max Fenlon, followed by Connor Kearney in 2 nd and Josh Wade in 3 rd .
Final (Honda) was won by Zak O’Sullivan, followed by Archie Hancox 2 nd & M Fennymore 3 rd .
Fastest lap of the day went to: – Comer - O Stratford – Heat 1 - 50.36

The Iame Cadet class were also extremely well supported, and the following drivers won their heats and final:
Heat 1 was won by Alex McDade, followed by Ethan Hawkey & Reggie Duhy.
Heat 2 saw Reggie Duhy take the win, followed by T Pritchard-Williams, & Alex McDade.
Heat 3 was won by Alex McDade, followed by Ethan Hawkey & Reggie Duhy.
Final – Ethan Hawkey took the win, followed by Tyler Read in 2 nd and Dominic Bush 3 rd .
Fastest lap of the weekend went to: Dominic Bush – Heat 1 – 49.18
The Tyro class were in full force and the following drivers won their heats & finals:
Heat 1 was won by Aidan Rudge, followed by Josh Porter & Hannah Chappell.

Heat 2 saw Aidan Rudge take the win, followed by Faye Hayward and Hannah Chappell.
Heat 3 was won by Aidan Rudge, followed by Hannah Chappell and Josh Stanton.
Final – Aidan Rudge took the win, followed by Faye Hayward 2 nd and Josh Stanton 3 rd .
The fastest lap of the weekend went to: Aidan Rudge – Heat 1 – 50.38
Again the Junior TKM class were well supported, and the following drivers won their heats and final:
Heat 1 was won by Thomas Broadley, followed by M Round-Garrido & Ryan Edwards.
Heat 2 saw Matthew Graham take the win, followed by J Reeves-Smith & Sam Fowler.
Heat 3 was won by Ryan Edwards, followed by Jack Griffiths & Jack Barber.
The final was won by M Round-Garrido, followed by Ryan Edwards in 2 nd and J Reeves-Smith in 3 rd .
The fastest lap of the weekend went to: Matthew Graham, Heat 1 – 43.76
Next on the circuit were the Snr TKM class, with the following drivers winning their heats and final:
Heat 1 was won by Matt England, followed by Matthew Allnutt and Gary Fowler.
Heat 2 saw Gary Fowler take the win, followed by Matt England and Max Goldsmith.
Heat 3 was won by Jason Wilson, followed by Guy Tolley & Matthew Harris.
The Final was won by Jason Wilson, followed by Guy Tolley in 2 nd and Matthew Allnutt in 3 rd .
The fastest lap of the weekend went to: Matt England – Heat 2 – 48.48
The Senior Rotax & KGP Class were next onto the track, and the following drivers won their heats and final:
Heat 1 (KGP) was won by Matt Davies, followed by Paul Giles & Aaron Drew.
Heat 1 (Rotax) was won by Chris Thomas, followed by Kasey Watson & Michael Pugh.
Heat 2 (KGP) saw Matt Davies take the win, followed by Jake Hughes and Aaron Drew.
Heat 2 (Rotax) saw Chris Thomas take the win, followed by W Hutchings & Kasey Watson.
Heat 3 (KGP) was won by Matt Davies, followed by Jake Hughes & Tiernay Oliver.
Heat 3 (Rotax) was won by Jon Sweeper, followed by Chris Thomas and Kasey Watson.
The Final (KGP) was won by Matt Davies, followed by Aaron Drew in 2 nd and Paul Giles in 3 rd .

The Final (Rotax) was won by Jon Sweeper in 1 st , W Hutchings in 2 nd and Ben Davies 3 rd .

Rotax – Chris Thomas – A Final – 50.63
The 250 Gearbox were well supported and the following drivers won their heats and final:
Heat 1 was won by Ross Allen, followed by Jack Love and Alex Burrows.
Heat 2 saw Ross Allen take the win, followed by Alex Burrows and Aaron Powell.
Heat 3 was won by Ross Allen, followed by Alex Burrows and Mark Pask.
The Final was won by Ross Allen 1 st , followed by Alex Burrows 2 nd and Aaron Powell 3 rd .
Fastest lap of the weekend went to: Ross Allen – Heat 2 – 34.85
The visiting class to the circuit this weekend were the 210 Challenge, and the following drivers won their heats and final:
Heat 1 was won by Dan Bury, followed by Tom whyte and Paul Cox.
Heat 2 saw Dan Bury take the win, followed by Graham Payne and Tom Whyte.
Heat 3 was won by Dan Bury, followed by Graham Payne and Paul Cox.
The Final was won by Dan Bury 1 st , followed by Graham Payne 2 nd and Tom Whyte 3 rd .
