Komen Foundation. The volleyball team will be selling pink t-shirts for $10 and sponsorships for a minimum of $25. To order a t-shirt or become a sponsor, please contact a volleyball player or the school. Advanced College Credit Program Mt. Olive partners with St. Louis University to offer high achieving juniors and seniors the opportunity to take SLU courses here at Mt. Olive during the regular school day, and earn college credit while earning credit towards high school graduation. Students may register for these courses between August 10-September 11 and they cost $65 a credit hour. If any students are interested in registering for a course through SLU, please see Mrs. Haenel for additional information. ***RUN FOR THE CHROME WITH TEAM “MIKE’S MISSION”** This year, Denise and JoAnn Baum are chairing the Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society’s “Rock ‘n’ Roll 5k, 10k, and HalfMarathon” in St. Louis on October 17th & 18th to help raise money for the society. If you would like to donate to support a member of the team, or sign up to run, please go to www.chromosome18.org, scroll down to Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series to locate St. Louis, and click on donate or become a fundraiser. You can also contact JoAnn Baum at 618-978-1486 or joannbaum_2000@yahoo.com to donate or to ask questions. Upcoming **PTA Themed 5K Run/Walk** The PTA will be hosting a Themed 5K Run/Walk in October. More information will be available mid September. Please feel free to visit Mt. Olive PTA on Facebook. **Homecoming** Mt. Olive’s Homecoming festivities will be held the week of October 5th. Float building and dress up days will be held throughout the week. Powder Puff Football will be played on Wednesday night on the football field. The parade will take place on Friday starting at 4, Homecoming Coronation will begin at 6:45 on the Football field, the Homecoming Football game will follow at 7, and the Homecoming Dance will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room following the football game. More information to come next month. Reminder Just a reminder that students are not allowed to charge more than two lunches.
