A total of 11,053 head of cattle were penned at Roma’s Store Sale. Weaners under
220kg topped at 272c/kg and averaged 236c/kg, while weaner steers in the 220280kg range reached 272c/kg and averaged 248c/kg. Steers in the 280-350kg range
reached 268c/kg and averaged 240c/kg, and steers in the 350-400kg range reached
258c/kg and averaged 239c/kg. Feeder steers in the 400-550kg range topping at
254c/kg and averaging 239c/kg.
Kanari Holdings, Canary, Boulia, sold Cross bred steers to 272c/kg for 239kg to
return $651/head.
R & J Tarry, Kenmore, Charleville, sold Charolais-cross steers to 270c for 232kg to
return $627.
Glengraco Grazing Co, Yuleba, sold Hereford-cross steers to 268c for 284kg to
return $761. The Angus-cross heifers sold to 217c for 220kg to return $479.
